Timetable:
12:00–12:30: Cameron Picton
13:00–13:30: YPY
13:45–14:15: Susu Laroche
Cameron Picton
Cameron Picton is the multi-instrumentalist and vocalist of the group Black Midi, who are on indefinite hiatus, and is now behind the group My New Band Believe. His songs are surely complex and intricately written, yet he also swerves into joyous and vibrant outbreaks of melody and unfettered self-aware silliness, channelling Brit pop's slacker-academic voyeurism with moments of wistful lyricism, and Tropicália warmth.
YPY
YPY is a solo project led by Koshiro Hino, a musician known for his work with the duo Kakuhan and goat (jp) – who performed at Rewire 2024. He performs at Rewire 2026 with Valentina Magaletti on Fri 10 Apr (Concordia), following the release of their much lauded album Kansai Bruises (2025).
Susu Laroche
Filmmaker-turned-sonic-experimentor Susu Laroche brings audiences into a ceremonial procession of droning ecstasy and percussion. Pounding drums lead the listener deeper and deeper into a trance-like state, as hazy synths swirl like smoky hallucinations, and ghostly vocals beckon like echoes from beyond the veil.
