Alamo Race Track was once Netherlands best-kept secret. But with the album Black Cat John Brown, everything changed. In 2006, suddenly the coolest indie music came from the Netherlands. College rock is ready and the Britpop revival has yet to begin. But Alamo's time has come. From the title track that became a YouTube hit to packed halls in France, the band around Ralph Mulder went through it all, and songs like The Northern Territory and Lee J. Cobb Is Screaming A Lot are part of the canon of Dutch indie.
