Bad Brains - Are You Ready: The First Studio Recording (Inner Ear - March 1979)

Trust Records announces its first release in collaboration with Bad Brains and produced in partnership with the band: the legendary but previously unreleased debut studio recording Are You Ready: The First Studio Recording (Inner Ear – March 1979).

These six tracks, mixed for release in 2026 by Ian MacKaye (Fugazi, Minor Threat), set the underground music world on fire in 1979 as word of their ferocious sound spread like wildfire.

Now, more than 40 years later, with heavy music once again enjoying a major resurgence thanks to bands such as Turnstile, both new hardcore punk fans and longtime devotees of legendary DC punk can finally hear the first document from a band that struck like a bolt of lightning.
