Defiantly Hardcore - Pieces For Resonant Sine Waves

An experiment in pure minimalism, which came into being thanks to Defiantly Hardcore's fascination with resonance, dissonance and frequencies.

Throughout its 1 hr and 16 minute run, you'll be blessed with many of Defiantly Hardcore's trials put upon a sine wave tone generator, looking for otoacoustic emissions and combination tones.
These auditory experiments would not have been possible without the great Maryanne Amacher and Hardcore only hopes to do her legacy justice.

The record is split in parts by descriptive appellations, each with their own function. Pacific features tone driven pads, Formulaic are organ works, Throbbed explores the harsh clicks caused by the waves, Lethargic / Apathetic are a depiction of melancholy, Abtruse tracks are dronified Joachim Stiller Edits, Guttural features General Filth's destructive edits and Zonked are transitional tracks.
