Elvis Presley - Classic Billboard Hits

This release compiles all of Elvis Presley’s top 20 Billboard Hits during the years of 1956-1958, beginning with his first across-the-board chart hit “Heartbreak Hotel”. These small band recordings are widely regarded as the finest work of the King’s career and among the greatest recordings in rock and roll history! His single “I Forgot to Remember to Forget” reached No. 1 on the country charts, while his first major crossover hit, “Heartbreak Hotel,” spent eight weeks atop the Billboard pop chart, also reaching No. 1 on the country chart and No. 5 on the R&B chart. From then on, Elvis became a regular presence atop the Billboard charts. Published by Billboard magazine, these charts rank music sales and airplay across multiple genres and have been regarded as the industry’s leading authority since the magazine introduced its first “Hit Parade” in 1936.
