Your Favorite Toy is the twelfth album by Foo Fighters. The eponymous single, released on February 19, laid the foundation for the sound of the new album, according to guitarist and singer Dave Grohl.

Grohl: "Your Favorite Toy was really the key that unlocked the tone and energetic direction of the new album. We stumbled upon it by chance after more than a year of experimenting with different sounds and dynamics, and on the day it took shape, I knew we had to follow it as a guideline. It was the fuse in the powder keg of the songs we eventually recorded for this album. It sounds fresh."
