Hooverphonic - Reflection

On Reflection, the second album by Hooverphonic featuring vocalist Noémie Wolfs, the band returns to a natural, analog sound. Alex Callier and Raymond Geerts wanted not only to record in a studio, but also in the homes of fans to capture the unique reverb — the “reflection” — that these songs required.

To achieve this, Hooverphonic launched a call to their fans in early 2013, inviting them to submit potentially unique homes for the ambitious “Hooverdomestic” project. In the end, five locations were selected — four in Belgium and one in France.

The result is the most infectious and upbeat album Hooverphonic has ever made. In addition, Noémie Wolfs is joined on the record by three new vocalists/instrumentalists, who add an extra sense of space and depth to the songs on Reflection.
