Joao Gilberto - Joao Gilberto (1973)

ão Gilberto’s 1973 album, known among collectors as the “White Album,” stands as one of the most sought-after and refined docu- ments of late-period bossa nova. Its understated design conceals extraordinary intimacy and preci- sion. Produced by Rachel Elkind— collaborator of electronic pioneer Wendy Carlos—the album carries a subtle connection between Brazilian minimalism and the groundbreaking studio experimentation of the era.
