Joe Bonamassa - Live At Carnegie Hall: An Acoustic Evening

Last year, on January 21 and 22, the dream of the now world-famous blues-rock guitarist and singer-songwriter Joe Bonamassa finally came true: performing at the legendary Carnegie Hall in New York. Both nights were filmed, and the results can be seen on Joe Bonamassa Live at Carnegie Hall – An Acoustic Evening.

It was a special performance featuring new arrangements of old favorites as well as previously unheard material. The concerts were part of an acoustic tour with an all-star ensemble of world-class musicians, including Chinese cellist Tina Guo, Egyptian percussionist and composer Hossam Ramzy, Reese Wynans (piano), Anton Fig (drums), Eric Bazilian (mandolin, hurdy-gurdy, saxophone), and the three Australian backing vocalists Mahalia Barnes, Juanita Tippins, and Gary Pinto.

Everyone knows the way to Carnegie Hall — practice, practice, practice — and Bonamassa took that message to heart throughout his life. His entire musical career had been building toward this moment, one he had dreamed of since he was a young blues fan.

With this fully acoustic, stripped-down show, he offers a glimpse into his soul and delivers an exciting musical spectacle.
