New generations of musicians continue to challenge established ideas of what jazz is, fearlessly pushing the music in new directions. The collective FATHERS brings together four open-minded artists who have earned their place at the forefront of this movement: producer Kenny Beats, keyboardist Kiefer, bassist CARRTOONS, and drummer Nate Smith. On their self-titled debut album, FATHERS, the collective uses jazz as its starting point, crafting a set of eight tracks that seamlessly blends jazz textures, hip-hop beats, and funk grooves into a powerful musical fusion.
