Purple Pilgrims - Given to the Night

Purple Pilgrims are a sister duo from New Zealand who make ethereal dream pop reminiscent of classic era 4AD artists.

Their new album ‘Given to the Night’ is their first since 2019, their first for AD 93.

NZ’s answer to Dead Can Dance/Cocteau Twins, the sisters make haze-pop that has been lauded by Pitchfork, Rolling Stone Australia + Best Fit.
They have toured extensively with the likes of Aldous Harding, Weyes Blood, Ariel Pink, John Maus.

Weaving their signature kaleidoscopic sound with telepathic sibling connection, the album centres around themes of finding light in shadows, and exploring the inbetweens. Inspired by an off grid retreat in which the album flowed through an intimate group of collaborators.
