It was recorded in Los Angeles, Chicago and Detroit, drawing deeply on club music traditions from Detroit house to Chicago beats and Jersey club, blended with experimental rhythms and global dance textures. Parks introduces a new persona—Gadget Girl—a self-styled, technology-embracing alter-ego that embodies her creative independence and ties to electronic gear and violin production. Themes explored across the album include mental health, self-love, romance, heartbreak, and dance-floor catharsis, all shaped within an intimate creative circle including family and close friends rather than outside producers
