The songs of these five young musicians are exuberant and pensive, political and personal, meditative and full of “pathos” (FAZ), often all at once. In November 2023, their first two EPs are now followed by sun’s sons’ Debut-Album „An Odyssey” which, on the one hand, marks a new beginning (everything from the production to its general ambition is bigger, fuller, braver) and, on the other hand, emphasizes the band’s characteristics and strengths: With their constant swaying between hope and hopelessness, they speak for a generation of young people who get the rug pulled out from under them on a daily basis and who have learned to hold on to each other.
