The Jayhawks - Sanctuary Park

For more than forty years, The Jayhawks have made music that embodies the timeless spirit and soul of classic American songwriting. Emerging from Minneapolis during the post-punk era alongside bands such as The Replacements, Hüsker Dü, and Soul Asylum, The Jayhawks helped pioneer the modern Americana movement. Through a string of classic albums, they introduced rock audiences to their distinctive blend of country, folk, soul, Britpop, and rock 'n' roll.

The band has performed at virtually every major music festival, from Farm Aid and Primavera Sound to Pinkpop and Wilco's Sky Blue Sky. In the tradition of The Band and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, The Jayhawks have toured with—and served as the backing band for—many of music's most acclaimed visionaries, including Ray Davies, Roger McGuinn, and Johnny Cash.

Today, Gary Louris, Marc Perlman, Karen Grotberg, and Tim O'Reagan continue to record and tour around the world. With more than twelve studio albums and three live albums to their name, The Jayhawks are still building a musical legacy that stands the test of time.

The band has once again teamed up with legendary producer Bob Ezrin (Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel, Lou Reed) for their new album, Sanctuary Park.
