Marking 50 years since Tom Waits’ iconic live-in-studio performance album first appeared in October 1975, ANTI-Records is releasing a special vinyl reissue on October 24, 2025. This limited-edition features three variants of 180-gram yellow vinyl (notably a “ducky yellow” pressing capped at around 800 copies). The original album, recorded in front of a small audience at the Record Plant, blends jazz-club performance with storytelling, setting the stage for Waits’ theatrical persona. The reissue faithfully preserves the tracklist—from “Eggs and Sausage (In a Cadillac with Susan Michelson)” to “Warm Beer and Cold Women” and “Spare Parts I & II”—and offers both longtime fans and newcomers a chance to revisit one of Waits’ most atmospheric and influential early works
