Notes
Recorded on November - December 1976 and January - February 1977, at Café-Theater "Den Duysent Vresen", Molenstraat 12, Roosendaal, The Netherlands. Café-Theater "Den Duysent Vresen" was a well known venue, frequented by artists, musicians, actors and folks that belonged to the 'in-crowd' of the local entertainment scene in the city of Roosendaal, a city in the south of The Netherlands. The venue closed with an official closing party on Thursday, November 30th, 1978 - the original closing party invitation is still available online. The label does carry the name "Duysent Vresen", but this does not refer to an actual label; it simply refers to the location where the tracks were recorded. The record is a private release, pressed in a batch of 500 copies and financed by both Cafe-Theater "De Duysent Vresen", the band members and the regulars who frequented the club. The artwork on all covers was made by hand; owners who do have a copy should be able to actually feel the consistency of the silver paint used on both front and back cover. All copies came with a 16-page booklet, that tongue-in-cheekily tells the story of how these recordings came to life, liberally using well known comic strip figures, as can been seen in the images added to this submission. Note: all official private copies are numbered: every copy has the number in the bottom corner, left, on the front cover, with the prefix 'Vresenlijck'. The copy featured in the submitted images reads 'Vresenlijck 500-126'.
