It's hard to know why, but Verve released this album, ultimately, under three different names: "The Gerry Mulligan Paul Desmond Quartet", "Blues In Time" and this one, "Gerry Mulligan Meets Paul Desmond". All three are the same album with the same versions of the same songs. This release shares a catalogue number with the album called "The Gerry Mulligan Paul Desmond Quartet," though obviously it has a different name and cover. Catalog number is "MG V-8246" on cover but shortened to "V-8246" on labels.
