J Mascis & The Fog - More Light

Mascis played in the hardcore band Deep Wound when he founded Dinosaur Jr. in 1984. They are still considered part of a select group of highly regarded bands in alternative rock. He reintroduced volume and attack into his songs at a time when hardcore in the 1980s had largely turned away from those elements. As a result, Mascis became an important influence on the rise of the grunge movement. More Light is the first Mascis album with The Fog and features Mike Watt (Minutemen, fIREHOSE), Ron Asheton (The Stooges), Robert Pollard (Guided By Voices), and Kevin Shields (My Bloody Valentine).
