Pink Floyd’s ninth studio album topped the charts in both the United Kingdom and the United States in 1975. Wish You Were Here reflects the band’s thoughts at the time about the music business and explores themes such as absence. It includes the classic track “Shine On You Crazy Diamond”, a tribute to founding member Syd Barrett, and the title track, which is considered one of Pink Floyd’s best and most popular songs.
