YEAR0001 is known as an independent multidisciplinary record label, management company, and creative studio. The Swedish label, based in Stockholm, was founded in 2015 by music manager Oskar Ekman and artistic director Emilio Fagone. They started the label as an independent incubator for innovative and multidisciplinary creative projects.

Over the past ten years, they have proven to be exactly what they set out to be. YEAR0001 blends an eclectic mix of genres, including rap, post-punk, electronic music, IDM, contemporary R&B, and alternative pop. This year, on March 7, YEAR0001 will re-release a selection of albums from their roster. Some of these records will even be available on vinyl for the first time, including an album by Swedish rapper Bladee.

The label has brought together a diverse group of artists who align with YEAR0001’s vision. One of the artists that is being re-released is Bladee, a well-known name in the underground music scene. Bladee is a Swedish rapper, singer, and producer, as well as a member of Drain Gang, a collective known for their ethereal and experimental approach to music. YEAR0001 is re-releasing two Drain Gang albums, including Crest, a collaborative project between Bladee and Ecco2K (Zak Arogundade Gaterud), which will also be reissued on March 7.
Ecco2K is a multidisciplinary artist who blends music, fashion, and visual art. YEAR0001 will also re-release his debut album E, which has been praised for its innovative sound and aesthetics.
The final artist in the re-release lineup is Thaiboy Digital, a rapper and singer from Thailand who moved to Sweden at a young age. Together with Bladee, Ecco2K, and two other artists, he is a core member of Drain Gang.
