This is a really fine album by the underrated Apollo Four Forty. The album features an excellent selection of music. “Stealth Mass in F#m” is very beautiful — it starts with a soft beat and gradually introduces a female vocal that gives it a very spy-movie / infiltration-like atmosphere. “Krupa” is apparently named after drummer Gene Krupa and has a fairly steady drumbeat and tempo. Finally, the title track “Electro Glide in Blue” is a magnificent epic with an incredible amount of emotion in the vocals and over eight minutes of brilliance. Whether you want to relax, get energized, or something in between, Electro Glide in Blue is a must-have.
