Derek & The Dominos - Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs

In 1970, Derek & The Dominos was formed around Eric Clapton, alongside Bobby Whitlock, Carl Radle, Jim Gordon, and Duane Allman. After their first tour, the band recorded their first and only album, the fantastic Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs.

Layla refers to Patti Boyd, the wife of George Harrison, with whom Eric Clapton was deeply in love. To mark the 50th anniversary of the album’s release, it was given the Half Speed Master treatment at Abbey Road. Several previously unreleased tracks on LPs 3 and 4 had never before been released on vinyl.
