Don Cherry - Sunrise

Wewantsounds proudly presents the first official release of a legendary 1977 concert featuring Don Cherry, Collin Walcott, and Leon Thomas in their only documented performance together. The concert was recorded live on March 5, 1977, at Pease Auditorium in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

During the performance, the three musicians delivered a captivating, hypnotic set, joined for part of the evening by the rest of Oregon. The complete concert, which has long circulated among a small group of Don Cherry fans, is now available as a deluxe, remastered 2-LP gatefold set featuring artwork by Moki Cherry and new liner notes by Jason Weiss, released under license from the Don Cherry Estate and producer James Quinlan.
