Ernesto Carlos was born and raised in Angra dos Reis - RJ, Brasil. He started playing guitar and producing music himself and in bands from 2002. His style varies from rock to ambient and finds influence from MPB to videogames. Ernesto moved to The Netherlands in 2014 and started recording music occasionally together with Alina Valentina at home in 2015 while working on his career as a tattoo artist & printmaker. During the first lockdown of March 2020 he and Alina Valentina started the recordings of Ernesto Carlos’s debut album ‘Jorge’. Containing re-recorded older songs and new material to deal with his saudade and bring some summer vibes into this wet and cold country. His music is very autobiographic, telling the story of his life in Brazil in contrast to the living in a 1st world country but also talks about the more absurd things of daily life.
