Gallowstreet - Our Dear Metropolis

Our Dear Metropolis is the third album by the Amsterdam based brassband Gallowstreet. Our Dear Metropolis is an (mostly instrumental) ode to their home city and at the same time a critique of the direction the city seems to be heading in. Gallowstreet has taken the sounds of their city and transposed it to an array of original compositions that put a spotlight on the different facets of modern city life. Facets that are not reserved for the Dutch ca pital alone; powered by a large array of brass and reed instruments this album provides the sonic fuel to traverse any modern cityscape.
