Described as a musician’s musician, Allen's sound is built on a foundation of pop, rock, Americana, Roots and Blues influences. He has a soulful, whiskey-soaked voice and a striking gift for melody. He has never been content to be pigeonholed, as demonstrated by the eclecticism of his albums to date. Allen is a gifted lyricist and a true craftsman of song. His breakthrough came after he performed on BBC TV’s Later with Jools Holland. Since then he has toured with many of the musical greats including Mark Knopfler, Emmylou Harris and Dionne Warwick to name but a few. He has also established himself as a songwriter for other artists. Allen's music has been globally successful with syncs in film, TV and advertising. He continues to tour with his band The Luna Kings, made up of some of the UK's leading session musicians.
