nrl:ndr - Untitled (BLUNDAR14.1)

Blundar is introducing the world to the Malmö-based producer known as nrl:ndr through both an album and a cassette release. As is their modus operandi, there are no titles provided for either. Instead speaking through sound and sleeve photos, we are induced into an intricate maze of synthesizer experiments and urban architecture studies. While the album is a curated sequence of shortened tracks, the cassette can be seen as a complementing study of the producer’s work.
Moving closer to the core of the creative process, we are treated with two longform compositions in their full unedited splendor. Layering dry creaking ambience around building kick patterns that disintegrate into abstract rhythms, nrl:ndr walks us through a minimalist soundscape that still burstles with organic life and psychedelic reverberations.
