Notes

Recorded May 27, 1960, New York. Navy Prestige label with silver trident logo at right. Runouts are etched except for RVG that is stamped. In the first set of runouts with the NJLP prefix, Rudy Van Gelder etched a 2 over a 3 in 8243, and on the B-side he also etched a B over an A in this same part of the matrix. This variant also features the first two sets of incorrect catalog numbers scratched out before they get it right on the third attempt. "New Jazz Records, 203 So. Washington Ave., Bergenfield, N.J." address on back cover. First and second catalog numbers on front cover, third on spine, fourth on spine and back cover, and fifth on labels.
